Florian “Burny” Hopfensperger is a German photographer that came out to BKK a couple of years ago to shoot an interview with Denny Pham. He immediately fell in love with the city and the convenience and way of life that Bangkok has to offer. He’s now been living here for the past three years and has gotten pretty comfortable in this Asian mega city. He has slimmed down his gear to fit with the lifestyle of taking tuk tuks and taxis to every spot. He went from a rolling bag with tripod stands down to a little tiny bag with some expandable tripods sitting in the side pocket. Burny has definitely learned his way around Thailand’s capital city. He discovers new spots every week and keeps record of them in his phone to show them to hungry skaters looking for a trick. Having someone with you who speaks Thai is a must when you’re in Bangkok and want to avoid getting ripped off. Burny can manage his way in a conversation and even talk shit to the taxi drivers who are too lazy to drive to some of the spots.
