BUENOS AIRES SKATE MONTAGE TWO

PUBLISHED April 3, 2015

Skateboarding in Argentina is different from other places. While they have security guards all over the city, the cops don’t give a shit. You can keep trying your trick until security tries to physically stop you because you know that the cops will not come and do anything. This makes for a unique game of cat and mouse where you run back 2 or 3 different times, trying to get one last shot at the precious trick that you have your mind set on. When you win, it’s heaven. When you loose, you come back again tomorrow. This is the spirit of the skater.

BUENOS AIRES SKATE MONTAGE ONE

PUBLISHED March 29, 2015

Skating in Buenos Aires is not always easy, but it is always rewarding. The streets can be rough and security can be a bitch, but the thing that makes skating in Buenos Aires so great is the skaters. The crews are strong and there is little to no beef between anybody, which is different than what we have experienced in other cities. With six or seven subway lines, five or six lines of regional train and more than 200 bus lines, the public transport will get you almost anywhere you want to go. The best part is that the tickets are less than 50 cents for each ride. With fruit shops and corner stores everywhere, you are never too far away from water or refreshments while on the session.

SEATTLE CITY MONTAGE TWO

PUBLISHED November 18, 2014

We got so lucky with our time in Seattle, only a handful of rainy days in a city notorious for its grey and wet weather. We had sun nearly every day and it was never really hotter than 30°C / 85°F. Security was harsh but we prevailed and came through with a good amount of footage. Check out some of Seattle’s heaviest hitters skate around downtown and its outlying neighborhoods. Here is montage number two from our two months of summer in Seattle.

SEATTLE CITY MONTAGE NIGHT EDIT

PUBLISHED November 3, 2014

When you’re in the center of a metropolis like Seattle, sometimes you have to wait till the sun goes down to hit the best spots in town. Weather it’s security, cars, the heat of the summer or your shitty job, the night can provide some much needed relief from the stresses of street skating during the day.

SEATTLE CITY MONTAGE ONE

PUBLISHED October 27, 2014

Skating in Seattle is not always easy. There are 200+ days of rain annually. This wet fact also means that Seattle boasts some of the roughest ground in America. Add the sea of security guards and skate stoppers that make up downtown and it can easily appear that the odds are against us. Good thing real street dogs know that no one or nothing short of a PD badge will stop us from getting a clip.

SANTIAGO DE CHILE MONTAGE – PATINAR EL DIA PART TWO

PUBLISHED June 12, 2014

One of the most interesting things about skating in Chile is the temperature drop. You might leave the house in the morning with shorts and a tee shirt on, but if you don’t have a proper hoodie or sweatshirt, you might be fucked come night fall. The reason for this is the unique desert/mountain climate that the valley of Santiago creates.

SANTIAGO DE CHILE MONTAGE – PATINAR EL DIA PART ONE

PUBLISHED May 26, 2014

Santiago is a really big, small city. It’s big enough that you feel like you’re in a metropolis, but small enough to get around fairly quickly. There is good public transportation (bus, metro) and taxis are cheap as well if you have a group of guys. The security, on the other hand, can be a big problem. Every day, at least once, we got hassled by security.

SANTIAGO DE CHILE MONTAGE – PATINAR LA NOCHE

PUBLISHED May 8, 2014

Skating at night in Santiago is much different than the day. The center is virtually empty and all the business people have gone home for the night. There are still many guards, but it’s much easier to get stuff done once the sun has gone down.

SAN JOSÉ SKATE MONTAGE

PUBLISHED June 10, 2013

When it comes to filming in San José, the actual trick is usually the easiest part. First you have to dodge all the holes and cracks in the run up. If you make it past those, you than hope that the ground where you pop has not been eaten away from the torrential downpours that can happen almost instantaneously in the afternoons during certain parts of the year.
