When it comes to filming in San José, the actual trick is usually the easiest part. First you have to dodge all the holes and cracks in the run up. If you make it past those, you than hope that the ground where you pop has not been eaten away from the torrential downpours that can happen almost instantaneously in the afternoons during certain parts of the year. And finally you have to be lucky to not get run over after landing because almost every spot is right next to the road…
We were lucky to get as much footage as we did. During the last couple weeks of our stay, the weather finally finished its transition into winter and it began to rain every day around noon, sometimes starting as early as 9 or 10 in the morning.
